hi, i’m emma

I received my BFA with honors from Lewis and Clark College in 2015 and began my professional career in early childhood education as a preschool teacher. At the time I also began donating murals through the Ronald McDonald Charity House Auction to build my portfolio. Creating compelling experiences through mural making is what ultimately led me to pursue a career in Interior Design and I am excited to announce that I will receive my Associates in Interior Design from Portland Community College this Spring (June 2020)!

This past year I have had the privilege of working as a showroom design consultant at United Tile Showroom in Portland, OR. Working as a design consultant has expanded my knowledge of product brands and industry terminology as well as helped me gain confidence in guiding clients through the process of selecting unique and beautiful materials efficiently. I am excited to continue to develop my skills in technical drafting, space planning, and marketing in this new career path. Ultimately, I delight in the process of curating environments and learning how psychology, art, and the natural world inspire innovative design.
